Summary: The world could end, and more than half the population could go out, but the spiteful live long. Yes, even something as stubborn as a cult of personality can adapt to the apocalypse.

History: After a brutal bio-weapon war between China and Russia, the world has lost most of its population. Those who remain are the dwindling humans, and "the Family", a group of technology-hating albino nocturnal mutants led by former anchorman Johnathan Matthias. The one they really have it in for is Robert Neville, who's blood makes him immune to the mutation, and therefore represents a threat to their way of life.

Notable Kills: Prefer to crucify their captured victims.

Final Fate: The Family eventually storms the hideout Neville and his fellow humans are in, and Matthias successfully kills the man with a spear. However, Neville has already distributed his blood by that time, and the other humans have already departed.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Mostly bright lights.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-While the pasty faces aren't the most innovatively scary things, don't go knocking on this family's door. Paranoid and violent, they will make an example out of you.

Trivia: -The scenes in which the normally busy city of L.A. is a deserted wasteland were achieved by filming during a Sunday morning. Unfortunately, you can still see some pedestrians at some points in the film.

-One of the major reasons that the mutants weren't vampiric beings like in the original story, "I Am Legend", was because one of the screenwriters had a doctorate in chemistry, and thought regular mutants would be more logical.
